2019 Porsche Panamera GTS Review • 2 November 2018

The 2019 Panamera GTS is the best-driving four-door Porsche to date.

CAR magazine • 1 November 2018

Instead, the charm of the GTS is its ability to unite the best of both worlds. It can be a totally laid-back long-distance cruiser, or a hardcore high-speed autobahn-meister that reaches top speed in sixth gear. The Panamera GTS weighs in with oodles of grip, traction and roadholding, yet it won’t shake the marrow out of your bones even when the going gets really tough. And although it has AWD, ESP, adaptive dampers and 4D chassis control for optimum stability, switching to Sport Plus is all it takes to trigger its tail-happy side.

The new Porsche Panamera GTS model aims to deliver a more focused drive, we find out if it does…

A dynamic hybrid station wagon that’s equally at home dropping off the kids as it is hitting the switchbacks. The hybrid system is built for power but also delivers solid electric-only range. The infotainment system takes a bit to get used to, but overall its customization will win you over. Sadly, there's no 360 degree camera system and the rear cargo area loses precious space thanks to the angle of the hatch.

2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo Review • 11 June 2018

After a week with Porsche’s Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo, we honestly don’t care whether it upholds the principles of a wagon or burps its twin-turbo V8 exhaust in the face of tradition. Fact is, this thing is a miracle in an otherwise cookie-cutter car world. Porsche effectively slapped some production door mirrors on its stunning Sport Turismo Concept, went to obscene (yet typical for Porsche) lengths to engineer sport car driving dynamics, and constructed one of the most luxurious and sophisticated cabins in its class. We adore the Panamera wagon… but it is hard to choke down its price tag. For $50K less, the Mercedes-AMG E63 S is more powerful and versatile than the Porsche. Or, for even more utility and a total $80K in savings compared to the Sport Turismo, Jaguar’s XF Sportbrake S is on the table. What these vehicles both lack, however, is swagger. We find ourselves comparing the Panamera Wagon to Ferrari’s shooting brake, the GTC4 Lusso, while the same matchup would never happen for either the AMG or the Jag. Porsche broke a mold with this vehicle, leaving its competitors utterly stumped.
