Opel Combo – begagnade till salu

The Vauxhall Combo Electric is a good – but not class-leading – choice in the small electric van class. While the latest update keeps it looking fresh and the extra range from the marginally larger battery pack fitted is welcome, it doesn’t quite stand out in a field full of strong alternatives. Smarter money might go on a Renault Kangoo E-Tech or Toyota Proace City Electric.

Few compact vans offer a larger and more capable cargo bay, but that’s not all that makes the Vauxhall Combo Cargo stand out. Its car-like driving experience and, at least in the higher-spec model, high equipment levels make it a pleasant vehicle to spend time in. Others have caught up, and some have surpassed the Combo, but it’s still right up there with the best small vans.

If maximum practicality and zero tailpipe emissions are what you’re after from an MPV, the Combo Life Electric might fit the bill. Its high level of specification make it a costlier choice than a Citroën e-Berlingo.
