Peugeot Boxer

The Peugeot e-Boxer offers excellent range, rapid charging, huge carrying capacity and its motor is more powerful than anything else in the class, but none of that can hide that it’s well past its prime. The ride is poor, the steering is vague, the cab is dated, and the payload of the 3.5-tonne version is seriously lacking. Most rivals feel newer, more comfortable, and more versatile, and are often cheaper.

The Peugeot Boxer is strong on practicality but its ageing foundations show in comparison with more modern large vans. If you’re after a solid no-frills vehicle that gets the job done, the Boxer won’t disappoint, but more advanced and comfortable options exist – especially in the form of the Renault Master.
