The BMW iX1 fails to shine in any particular area. While used prices are reasonable and space is plentiful inside, the Skoda Enyaq and Tesla Model Y are cheaper and even more roomy. Unfortunately, range, ride comfort and reliability are weak areas, too, making the iX1 a difficult car to recommend over rivals.

In many EVs, when you set the navigation to a rapid charger, they will precondition the battery so that it can charge quickly right away. The iX1 does that too, but also allows you to turn on the preconditioning manually.
